ALFOTEC donates for kindergarten: “Wreck” is a dream ship for children

The support association of the Heisterbusch kindergarten in Wermelskirchen turned to the conveyor technology manufacturer ALFOTEC with a matter of the heart:
Over the years, the big old wooden railway in the kindergarten’s outdoor area had been badly damaged by boisterous children’s romp and the hardly less harsh mountainous weather conditions. There is not much left and the TÜV will deny the play equipment its safety seal in spring. Even the patching work of committed parents cannot save anything: Even if some ex-kindergarten children feel a little melancholy – the good old wooden train has to steam off to retirement for safety reasons.

Already for a long time the development association saves on a worthy replacement

The perfectly newly built and fantasy-stimulating “wreck” of a pirate ship should be. So please don’t tell anyone that a wreck might not be a dream ship! For the Heisterbusch children the new play equipment is both: On the ship they will climb, romp, slide, hide and discover their own personal adventure land. The ship’s bow can be used as a sandbox, and at the stern the children will find a climbing net as well as benches and tables to linger on. As a special feature, one of the popular stainless steel slides is integrated – even pirates are allowed a little luxury despite all the daily grind and strenuous raids.

A large part of the costs of around 12,500 euros has now been collected by the support association through many activities and events. With the current ALFOTEC donation of 1,000 euros for Christmas, the goal – the purchase of a ship – is within reach; only a few small donations are still missing.

The children are already looking forward to the spring

Then the pirate’s dream ship, for which a suitable name still has to be found, is christened in proper style with a bottle of lemonade. It almost goes without saying that ALFOTEC provides the Heisterbuscher young pirates with a soda crate and chocolate catering for the christening. “But only lemonade! It protects with vitamin C against the pirate disease scurvy and also tastes great”, a kindergarten child explained ALFOTEC’s Managing Director Michael Hackländer.
