Customer requirement – Ergonomically designed production line for the most automated possible assembly of window frames of various dimensions
The customer’s task included challenges both with regard to the construction of the conveyor line itself and the commissioning. Working on the assembly line should not only meet ergonomic requirements, but also offer largely automated processes for standard dimensions of max. 2,000 x 1,600 mm (LxW) as well as all the necessary manual procedures for the assembly of individual and special frames. In addition, the workpieces should be tilted, turned and positioned exactly as required.
The latter also referred to the transfer point to the continuing production line. The new assembly line was to be integrated into the existing conveyor system. After an extremely short delivery time of eight weeks, all installation and docking measures had to be carried out outside of operating hours in order not to impair the client’s production flow.
